The ServeQuest “Home Team”
Merle Weaver

Merle has been developing and leading businesses and organizations over 25 years. The first decade and a half was a lot of “trial by fire” and learning the hard way. The last decade he has focused increasingly on intentionally developing himself as a serving leader. He has a passion to see business, organizational, and community leaders raised up to further the Kingdom of Christ.
As part of his efforts to this end, Merle has studied Dr. Stahl-Wert’s books from Center for Serving Leadership, finally meeting Dr. Stahl-Wert in the spring of 2020. He has since gone on to incorporate many of the concepts in his organizations, personal life, and the development of other leaders, becoming a Certified Training Partner in 2021.
Merle envisions the next decades of his life increasingly focused on developing serving leaders and resonates with the Great Purpose of the Center for Serving Leadership “a flourishing world in which serving is the trademark of leadership.”
Merle lives in picturesque Lancaster County Pennsylvania, often known as “Amish & Mennonite Country”, with his wife Beth. After their respective spiritual pursuits and marriage, together they focus on their number 1 “business” namely raising and teaching leadership to their twelve children.

Merle Weaver Family
After leading several non-profit organizations as well as several businesses, in his “remaining time” Merle enjoys volunteering with Public Safety as a fire department engine driver, and Fire Police Captain, as well as amateur radio and volunteering with his local search and rescue team. He also serves as an overseer in his local church.
Brent Bear

Brent has a passion for seeing people recognize their gifts and talents and use them to serve others.
He has worked in numerous non-profit ministries for several decades of his life in training and mentoring individuals.
Brent holds a Bachelor of science in technology degree from Kent State University and is several classes away from finishing a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Communications as well. He applies both his life experiences and his schooling to his current position of Mentoring and Relations director in a nonprofit ministry as well as his role in leadership in his local church.
Brent and his wife Carol live close to Lancaster, Pennsylvania with their 4 children.

Merv Stoltzfus

Merv has worked in, and owned multiple different businesses and nonprofits and enjoys serving in any way possible to help organizations become more effective and productive.
Along the way a pattern has become obvious. The pattern was consistent that Merv would always end up leading/managing people (even @ the age of 14 which was the first team he led for the next 8 years). Around 2016 Merv began to realize there was a lot to learn about working with people that he did not know. Since then has spent a lot of time reading, and growing in leadership. The primary learning came by hands on experience through making mistakes and allowing those errors to crush him and bring personal growth, but not be destroyed by them. Merv believes this journey will continue until he retires to his Eternal home in Heaven!
Merv took a CSL Cohort in 2020 along with Merle Weaver that has helped give language to a lot of what he believes and inspired him to implement a Clearly Articulated Great Purpose into every area of his life. In the Spring of 2024 Merv became a Certified trainer on “The 6 Working Genius Assessment Model” which helps bring a lot of clarity to how we function in the workplace as an individual and a team.
Merv and his wife, Lindy live in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania with their 4 sons, and 2 daughters about ½ mile from where he grew up as an “Old Order Amish Boy”. His family is Merv’s first and foremost calling; what a joy!

Merv has a passion and personal vision to work with people to help them grow, and thrive in the Kingdom of God. Primarily in personal & organization health, and walking with Great Purpose, because without Character our light that we desire to shine for Jesus will not endure The why behind the why is “For the sole purpose of returning Glory to our Great & Mighty King Jesus”.
Merv recognizes that without character to walk out our Christian life we will bring destruction, not Glory to the Kingdom of God. Therefore, he is committed to spending the rest of his life helping the Body of Christ grow and walk in maturity with Jesus according to his purposes and plans.
You do not need a title to Lead!
